The Story Behind the Fragrance
While working on bringing our fragrance infused gym clutch to life I started mixing essential oils to find the right combination for its scent. I wasn’t satisfied with the result and connected with a “nose.” I told her about my favorite essential oils, which ones I wanted to included, and answered her questionnaire. She sent over her first batch of fragrances and it was a bust. They didn’t smell bad. They just didn’t have IT. We had another meeting and I talked more about the feelings around what the fragrance should represent. I went deep into customer definition and who You are. She sent over four new fragrances. The first three was another bust, but the last one was so on point that I couldn’t explain what made it feel so right. She told me that she had left the questionnaire behind and focused on the feelings. As she connected with my words she created Fajers signature scent, Dharma. It got the name Dharma as I was reading Material Girl, Mystical World by Ruby Warrington during this process. I connected deeply with the definition of it in the book and knew that this living fragrance with changing notes would bring nature into the big city life.
